A mentőszolgálat értesítette a Fejér Megyei Katasztrófavédelmi Igazgatóság Főügyeletét január 22-én, kedden délelőtt, hogy egy gázfűtéses családi házban ketten vélhetően szén-monoxid-mérgezés miatt vesztették életüket Baracson.
A házból egy fiatalt a mentők kórházba szállítottak. A Fejér Megyei Katasztrófavédelmi Igazgatóság a helyszínre kérte a gázszolgáltatót, és a kéményseprő-ipari közszolgáltatást végző társaság is tájékoztatásra került.
A katasztrófavédelem ezúton is felhívja a figyelmet, hogy a szén-monoxid-mérgezést legtöbbször a helytelenül használt tüzelő- és fűtőberendezés, kémény okozza. Ezért rendkívül fontos, hogy a kazánokat és a kéményeket minden fűtési időszak megkezdése előtt ellenőriztessék. Azokat a helyiségeket, amelyekben a tüzelőberendezés található, rendszeresen szellőztessék, így is megakadályozható a mérgező gázok felhalmozódása. Kiegészítő védelemként használjon szén-monoxid-érzékelőt, amelyet fejmagasságban javasolt elhelyezni a helyiségekben.
